Booking an Appointment
In the new UPMC Patient Portal, you can book appointments with existing members of your care team located in Central Pa., Northwestern Pa., New York, and Western Maryland. If you are looking to schedule an appointment with a provider in Southwest Pa., you must use MyUPMC. For appointment scheduling with UPMC Children’s providers in Southwest Pa., use MyCHP.
To schedule with a new provider who is not in your care team, use the UPMC Provider Directory. For assistance finding providers, scheduling appointments, or managing existing appointments call Scheduling Services at 1-800-533-8762.
To pay a bill in the UPMC Patient Portal simply open the UPMC Patient Portal, navigate to the Billing section, and follow the prompts to submit your payment. Bills will only appear in the new portal for care received on or after Sept. 27, 2025. If you don’t see your bill in the Billing section, please follow the directions on your statement to pay online or by mail.
To pay for care received before Sept. 27, 2025 online, visit HealthPay24 and enter the account information found on your statement. To enroll in or edit an existing payment plan, contact our customer service team at 1-877-499-3899.
Pay by phone or mail remains available. Please see your most recent statement for instructions.
Your most recent health information is available in the UPMC Patient Portal. This includes the past 5 years of eye and dental exams, as well as test results. You can also view all active prescriptions, along with your complete Oncology and OBGYN records.
Requesting Additional Medical Records
If you’d like access to health information beyond what’s available in the UPMC Patient Portal, you can submit a request for specific visit summaries or your entire formal health record in the portal’s Sharing Hub. Select specific record types or appointment dates, then receive the information delivered right to you in the portal.
1. Go to the Portal Sharing Hub
In the portal, navigate to the "Sharing Hub" and select to share your health information with yourself.
2. Request Health Information
Select how you’d like to receive your health information—as a download from the UPMC Patient Portal or a formal copy of your medical record.
3. Find in Document Center
Your requested records will be delivered in the Portal "Document Center", found under the "My Record" menu item.
Over the next few months, providers will continue to be available to you for messaging, scheduling, and other care needs. However, not all providers are moving to the new UPMC Patient Portal at the same time. Providers not yet in the UPMC Patient Portal may still be using MyUPMC. If you have a MyUPMC account, you can check that portal to find your provider. If you're having trouble finding a specific provider, visit the UPMC Provider Directory to search for your provider.

Pardon Our Dust During This Transition
UPMC is updating its patient portal in phases. Each update is designed to improve your portal experience, and provide more connected care across the UPMC system. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.
Do You Receive Care in Multiple Regions?
If you currently use MyUPMC or MyCHP and receive care in Southwest Pa., you must temporarily use more than one portal to access your providers. This is because not all UPMC providers are transitioning to the new UPMC Patient Portal at the same time.
If you see providers in Central Pa., Northwest Pa., Maryland, or New York, you must use the new UPMC Patient Portal to manage appointments and send messages.
If you see providers in Southwest Pa., you must use MyUPMC or MyCHP.
By Fall 2026, all UPMC providers will be available on the new portal, and you’ll be able to manage your care in one place.
