WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) has recognized The WorkCenter at UPMC in North Central Pa. as an accredited consortium/third-party administrator. This prestigious designation positions UPMC in North Central Pa. as one of the largest service agents within the Federal Department of Transportation, requiring expertise across a wide range of subjects related to drug and alcohol testing management.

“This distinction elevates the level of support UPMC provides to regional businesses, helping them navigate the often-complex laws and regulations surrounding drug and alcohol testing, and ensuring they operate as safely as possible,” said Chandra Spring DeWald, employer outreach associate, The WorkCenter, UPMC in North Central Pa. “There are only a select few nationally recognized facilities that have earned this honor from the country’s leading drug and alcohol screening association. I am incredibly proud of this achievement and the significance it holds for our organization.”

The NDASA accreditation process is rigorous and overseen by a team of industry experts who validate that the applicant is properly licensed to operate, that all internal operators have attained the necessary training documentation, the applicant can demonstrate appropriate knowledge of and compliance with federal regulations and are operating within ethical standards acceptable to the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry.

Those displaying the NDASA Accreditation certificate are recognized as having a seal of approval from industry peers and experts demonstrating they are a trusted and reliable partner that is voluntarily subject to accreditation oversight, audits, and reviews.
