• Colposcopy (Cervical Biopsy) — A colposcopy is a procedure used to closely examine the cervix, vagina, and/or vulva using a lighted magnifying instrument called a colposcope.
• Dilation and Curettage — Dilation and curettage is a minor operation in which the cervix is dilated, or widened, so that doctors can scrape tissue from the uterus with a spoon-shaped instrument called a curette.
• Endometrial Biopsy — An endometrial biopsy is a procedure in which a provider removes a small piece of tissue from the lining of the uterus, called the endometrium.
• Hysterectomy — A hysterectomy is a surgery to remove your uterus (womb) and possibly other organs, like your ovaries.
• Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) — Doctors use the loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) to remove precancerous cells from the cervix.
• Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) — Minimally invasive surgery is surgery that involves no incision or smaller cuts than traditional surgery.
• Oophorectomy — An oophorectomy is the removal of one or both ovaries, the small glands that produce, store, and release eggs for reproduction.
• Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping for Gynecologic Cancer — Sentinel lymph node mapping is a procedure in which doctors inject a radioactive substance, a color tracer, or fluorescent dye to find out if cancer has spread.
• Trachelectomy (Cervix Removal) — A trachelectomy is the removal of the cervix, the smooth, donut-shaped organ at the opening of the uterus.
• Vaginectomy — A vaginectomy is a surgery that removes all or part of the vagina.
• Vulvectomy — Vulvectomy is a surgery in which doctors remove all or part of the vulva, the female outer genitals.
