A CT Coronary Angiogram or "CCTA" is a scan that records pictures of your heart.
Before the pictures are taken, a Technologist will insert an intravenous (IV) line so that contrast can be injected into a vein (usually in your arm). The contrast highlights any blockages in your coronary arteries, helping to diagnose coronary artery disease.
You can return to your normal activities immediately after your CCTA. Your doctor will contact you with the results of your test.
