For residents requiring 24-hour skilled nursing care, Cole Place offers the following:

• Pennsylvania State Department of Health licensure
• Full-time registered nurses on staff to address immediate medical needs
• 24/7 on-call nurse system for residents
• Resident care plan reviews every 90 days
• 24-hour security monitoring system
• Electronic medical record system
• Physical, occupational, respiratory, and speech therapy
• Emergency Department on campus with 24-hour physician availability
• Resident education on management of medical needs, medication, and wound care
• Discharge planning with coordination of home services for outpatient rehabilitation, home health care, hospice and respite services, and alternate living arrangements
• Access to UPMC Cole services as needed
• Social work
• Hospice and Palliative Care
• Joint Commission Accreditation
