Edward Karlovich

Edward Karlovich is executive vice president and chief financial officer for UPMC. Since joining UPMC in 1990, he has served various financial leadership roles, most recently as vice president, chief financial officer and chief of staff for the Health Services Division. Karlovich’s leadership focus has been on the changing landscape in health care through supporting innovative care delivery models, physician partnerships, affiliation strategies and organization redesign.

 

Previously, Karlovich was a senior manager at Arthur Andersen & Co., where his experience included public and private corporations and institutions. Currently, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council. Active in Pittsburgh’s cultural community, Karlovich serves as treasurer and executive committee board member of the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and member of the finance committee for the Senator John Heinz History Center.

 

He earned an associate’s degree from the Community College of Allegheny County, Bachelor of Science from Duquesne University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
