Evidence-based Mental Illness and Suicide Training

Training programs include:

• Mental Health First Aid — an 8-hour course that teaches how to detect and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance abuse.
• Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) — a 2-day workshop that teaches suicide first aid.
• Question. Persuade. Refer. (QPR) — suicide prevention training programs that teach you suicide warning signs and how to offer hope and save lives.
• Hearing Voices Network (HVN) — training that teaches the HVN approach of helping people who hear voices or have other extreme experiences.
